“Oh, it’s you.” Georgina glanced up as I walked in, smiling at first before frowning and pulling her lips to the side as it dawned on her why I was in her office. “Sorry, Sienna, we were meant to have a meeting today, weren’t we?”
“Um, yeah…” I felt awkward. Papers were strewn all over her desk, three coffee mugs empty and making rings on a mat beside her keyboard. “Is everything OK?”
She rolled her eyes. “The Bashford account. It’s a complete mess…not that I should be talking about it with you really, but I can trust you, right?”
“Some of the amounts don’t match. If I was an investigator I’d suspect…well, you know.”
“Fraud?” My eyes went wide. “What are you going to do?”
“I honestly have no idea. I guess…well, this is supposed to be a mentor meeting and you’re my mentee. It would be good for you to see what this can look like. Come over here.” She scooted her chair sideways, making room for me to squeeze in beside her at her desk, and I followed around. “See these entries?”
I nodded. “Shit. Oh, God, sorry!”
Georgina laughed and shook her head. “No, I think that was an accurate description.”
I crouched lower and leaned in beside her. The scent of her perfume hit me, always so subtle and understated. She crossed one leg over the other, stockinged thighs shushing lightly.
Her groan was exasperated. “I’m going to be up all night. If we lose this account I can kiss goodbye to any hope of promotion.”
I wish you’d kiss me, I thought, not for the first time. “That’s rough. Anything I can do to help?”
She turned her head and met my eyes, and for a moment I thought I’d fall into them. We stayed like that for what seemed like an age, before her lips parted and she breathed the tiniest, squeaky sigh.
“No.” She shook her head. “I should let you go, Sienna.”
“You don’t have to,” I said, and did the bravest thing in my life.
As I leaned forward, I let my fingers glide over the front of her dress, pausing with my hand over her left breast. I held her gaze and she didn’t retreat. When our lips met, she mewled and kissed me back.
“We shouldn’t,” she whispered when we broke. “I’m old enough to be your mother.”
“Older sister at most.”
Georgina laughed. “Maiden aunt then.”
“Shut up.” I ran my hands over her shoulders. “You’re tense. Let’s see if we can’t ease that.”
I started working the buttons on her dress and felt her hand slide down my back, caressing my hips before moving to cup my buttock. The pencil skirt pulled tight over my ass and I leaned forward to push it more firmly into her grip.
